1. Who we are
Digital & Creative Solutions (DCS) is a Tanzania-based sole proprietorship. We control the personal information collected through this website. You can contact us at info@hellodcs.com, by phone on +255 714 202 848, or through our WhatsApp link.
2. Information we collect
When you request a quote, we collect the details you choose to provide, including your name, business or organisation, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, service interests, project summary, preferred timeline, and optional budget range. Our hosting provider also processes basic technical information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as IP address and request logs. If you accept optional analytics, Google Analytics processes page paths, page titles, approximate location, device and browser details, and interactions such as page views, scrolls, file downloads, videos, consented contact and service choices, and successful lead submissions. Microsoft Clarity processes device, browser, page, layout, navigation, click, tap, scroll, pointer, visibility, performance, and diagnostic events to create behavioural metrics, heatmaps, and reconstructed session playback. Quote-form fields are explicitly masked, and we do not intentionally send quote-form names, contact details, project summaries, or other form contents to either analytics provider.
3. How we use information
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, understand your project, prepare a proposal, communicate with you, prevent spam and abuse, secure the website, and meet legal or record-keeping obligations. With your consent, we use aggregated Google Analytics reports and Microsoft Clarity heatmaps and session playback to understand which pages and services are useful, find usability problems, and improve the website. We do not sell personal information or use quote details for unrelated marketing without your permission.
4. Service providers and international processing
Netlify hosts the website and captures quote submissions. Resend sends the submission notification email to DCS. Google provides optional website analytics after consent, and Microsoft provides optional Clarity behavioural analytics after consent. These providers may process and store website, enquiry, analytics, and delivery information outside Tanzania. We use overseas processing only subject to applicable Tanzanian approvals and appropriate contractual, organisational, and technical safeguards. We share information only with authorised service providers that help us operate the website or deliver the requested service, professional advisers, or public authorities where reasonably necessary or required by law. 5. Retention and security
We keep an unsuccessful quote enquiry while it is active and for no longer than 12 months after our last meaningful contact. If you become a client, relevant records are kept for the service relationship and any longer period required for accounting, disputes, or other legal purposes. Our Google Analytics event and user data retention setting is 14 months; that setting does not govern all aggregated standard reports. Its _ga and _ga_* cookies use a one-year expiry that may renew on later visits while consent remains granted. Microsoft Clarity playback data is generally retained for 30 days; click and heatmap data and certain labelled, favourited, or sampled recordings may remain for up to 9 months. We delete or anonymise information when the applicable period ends. We use reasonable organisational and technical safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system is completely secure.
6. Your rights and choices
You may ask to access, correct, update, restrict, object to the use of, or delete personal information we hold about you, subject to applicable law. Optional analytics stays off unless you accept it. You can decline it initially or open Analytics settings in the footer at any time to withdraw or grant consent; withdrawing consent removes DCS analytics cookies and reloads the page without the Google Analytics or Microsoft Clarity tags. 7. Cookies and external services
Unfinished quote details are saved temporarily in session storage for the current browser tab so you can visit another page and return without losing your work. Drafts expire after 24 hours without an edit and are removed after a successful submission or when you choose Clear draft. They are not saved to persistent local storage or sent to DCS before you submit the form. The analytics preference itself is stored in your browser so we can remember your choice. If you accept, Google Analytics may set _ga and _ga_* cookies to distinguish visits and measure use of this website, and Microsoft Clarity may set _clck and _clsk cookies to connect pages and interactions into a session. We keep advertising cookies, storage, user data, personalisation, and signals disabled, and do not connect Microsoft Advertising. Hosting and security logs may still be created whether or not you accept analytics. The website's fonts are self-hosted. WhatsApp and telephone links are optional; those services process communications under their own notices once you use them.
